United States winger Brek Shea will be offered a contract to stay with Arsenal in January and according to sources he may well be the only signing that Arsenal make during the transfer window.
The 21 year old is currently under contract with MLS side FC Dallas but is spending his off-season with Arsene Wenger’s side to train and retain his fitness.
Arsenal though have not only been impressed with his skills on the training grounds but have also had the player monitored whilst on international duty and feel he is a player that could add to the squad greatly. There has been interested reported to be from Italy for the winger however with Shea currently training with the Emirates side, it puts Arsenal in a good position to be able to land him in January.
With just a little under two months to go until the January transfer window opens Arsenal will be keen to get the deal signed and sealed as soon as possible and will require FC Dallas to give the side their blessing. Although figures for the youngster are sketchy it is believed that the MLS side would look at at least £5m to part with the international.
Arsenal have been previously lined with Eden Hazard as a winger however with Real Madrid now statin a firm interest the Emirates side will look to seal a deal for the more reasonably priced Brek Shea.
