International free agent training with Wolves

It’s understood that James McFadden is currently training with Wolverhampton Wanderers as the Scottish international looks to get his career back on track after a long-term injury.

The former Everton and Birmingham City striker was suffering with a cruciate knee ligament injury for 13 months, but is now ready to turn his career around.

Mick McCarthy announced earlier this month that he would be keen to sign any free agents in an effort to cut overheads, and with Kevin Doyle being associated with a move away from the club, backup could be essential.

The 28 year-old has been training with the Molineux side since Monday, and could find himself back in the top flight very soon, following his release from Birmingham earlier this summer.
