Italian Serie A side AC Milan are ready to make a serious offer for unsettled Chelsea striker Fernando Torres who has found life difficult in the West End since his high money move in January where the club paid Liverpool £50m for his services.
AC Milan have been trying to tie down a January deal with the unwanted Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez but are believed to have hit a stone wall where his personal wages are concerned. With that in mind they are prepared to look at other avenues and although Chelsea claim that Torres is part of their long term future, his poor form and certain rumours that claim he would like to move away to rediscover his best form, could see the former Liverpool striker head out of London.
Chelsea will not allow him to leave cheaply though despite recent reports that they would be willing to listen to offers close to £20m and AC Milan are expected to be wanting to offer closer to £25m for the Spanish international.
AC Milan are still keen to add to their attack due to the Cassano issue but with the situation over Tevez’s wage demands currently at stalemate, Chelsea could very well be preparing for an offer from the Italian giants.
