Jack Wilshere inclusion “wrong decision” according to Arsene Wenger

Wenger believes the inclusion of Jack Wilshere in the u21 side this summer is the wrong decisionArsene Wenger is adamant that Jack Wilshere’s inclusion in the European u21 squad is the “wrong decision” but that Arsenal will respect the choice to include him in the squad for the European Championships this summer.

Arsenal had insisted that Wilshere was playing too much too early in his career however the FA felt that it was imperative for English football that youngsters gain experience from competitions such as the u21 European Championships.

With Stuart Pearce naming Jack Wilshere in the final 23 man squad, Wenger was short but precise in his opinion on the matter.

“I heard he has been picked, we just have to accept and respect the choice even if we think it is the wrong decision.”

Should the Under-21 side be successful it could see Wilshere playing football for a further month in what has perhaps already been a strenuous season for the 19 year old.
