Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez could be out for a few weeks after the player was the subject of a very poor tackle from Chelsea’s Ashley Cole during United’s 3-1 win on Sunday.
The tackle by Ashley Cole was deemed as late as high but was booked after the referee Phil Dowd consulted the linesman and with the ball out of play, a penalty was not given. Although Cole received a yellow many are suggesting it should have been a straight red.
Replay do look nasty and Sir Alex Ferguson expects to hear more news on Hernandez tomorrow claiming the tackle was “shocking” and that Hernandez could not feel anything at the moment due to numbness.
