Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has spoken of the impact 41 year old signing Jens Lehmann is making on him since his return as an emergency keeper two months ago.
Szczesny has been regarded as many as the keeper they really require rather than splashing out on a new player in that position in the summer and the Arsenal number one feels Lehmann has helped him greatly where development is concerned.
“It’s very interesting actually, after every game he talks to me in great detail, he also takes me to one side at training, or when we’re doing some stretching, and gives me a lot of advice about little aspects of my game.”
The Arsenal keeper added.
“It’s not about big things, because I haven’t made many massive mistakes, but he spots little details and uses his experience to help me. That’s really useful and I’m very grateful for it.”
Although Lehmann was never really known for his composure, Szczesny certainly showed he had plenty of it against Manchester United last weekend during the 1-0 victory at the Emirates which keeps Arsenal’s slim title hopes alive.
