Manchester City and England goalkeeper,Joe Hart, has signed a five-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2016.
The 24 year-old joined from Shrewsbury Town in 2006 for only £600,000 and has made 121 starts for City to date.
The England No. 1 has earned numerous awards since becoming the Blues’ starting keeper, including the Premier League Golden Gloves last season, as well as breaking the club’s record for clean sheets.
Hart commented, saying: “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed a new deal and it is a very exciting time to be a City player,”
“I can’t think of myself being anywhere other than City and it really feels like home. I feel very privileged to be staying here for another five years,” he added.
Hart’s new deal sees his wages quadruple to £120,000-a-week.
