John Jensen agrees one year extension at Blackburn Rovers

John Jensen has signed a one year extension at Blackburn RoversBlackburn Rovers assistant manager John Jensen has agreed a new deal with the club to keep him on for at least a further year.

The 46 year old first joined the club in January on an initial six month agreement to work alongside Steve Kean at Ewood Park.

Jensen told Blackburn’s official website.

“To be asked to stay on means an awful lot to me, Steve told me a few weeks ago that he was keen for me to stay whatever happened, but the situation is clearly much better now we have secured our Premier League status.”

The former Arsenal midfielder added.

“It is apparent to me that the Premier League is by far and away the best competition in the world and to be able to be part of it at a club as good as this is very exciting.”
