Ghanaian international, John Pintsil, has signed a three-year contract at the Walker Stadium, and become Sven-Goran Eriksson’s eighth summer signing.
The full-back, who was released by Fulham at the end of last season, was subject to a rejected bid by Leicester at the end of June. However, this time the 30 year-old was able to agree personal terms and pen a contract.
Pantsil is confident of Leicester’s ambition, telling Ghanasoccernet: “I see this as the biggest challenge of my career so far and, together with my new team-mates, we will fight to make Leicester City climb to the top.”
Despite interest from other clubs, Pantsil joined the Foxes and Sven’s revolution. The veteran added: “The fact that they have coach Eriksson also says a lot about the ambitions of the club and I am obviously delighted to join in this noble cause.”
