Jonathan Greening confident of Forest’s title hopes

New Nottingham Forest signing, Jonathan Greening, is confident that his new club can make a genuine challenge for the Championship title this season.

The 32 year-old joined back up with former Middlesborough boss, Steve McClaren, at the City Ground after Fulham accepted a £600,000 bid from the Reds last week.

Forest lost their play-off semi-final against eventual champions Swansea, whilst under Billy Davies. However, Greening is confident the cub can do one better under their new management.

Greening commented: “I am really looking forward to it. There is a good squad here and they are trying to add a few more players as well, I think.”

The midfielder is confident of his new club’s ambition, adding: “I thought the club was going places and has a real good shot at winning the Championship.”
