Cavani looks to Madrid, Abramovich to bring in Stefan Jovetic and Hulk

As ever at this time of year, there are plenty of transfer rumours doing the rounds and it is no surprise to see Chelsea making plenty of headlines right now.

It is thought that one of Jose Mourinho’s main targets during the transfer window was Napoli striker Edison Cavani, but it looks as though the Uruguayan could be on his way to Real Madrid, so the new Chelsea boss will have to look elsewhere for a new striker.

In fact, the Blues look like going for two new front-men in the shape of Stefan Jovetic and Hulk. These two have both shown they can score goals at the top level and have each been linked with a move to the Bridge in the past.

It is thought that Hulk isn’t too happy playing for Zenit St Petersburg and Jovetic is keen to prove himself at one of Europe’s biggest clubs after a fair amount of time with Fiorentina, so this could be a double deal that goes down well with Chelsea fans.

There aren’t just players coming into west London though as a number of players seem to be on their way out.

Galatasaray have made an enquiry for John Obi Mikel, who played a big part in Chelsea’s season last time out, but Mourinho wants to add more midfielders to his squad and that could allow the Nigerian to move.

West Bromwich Albion have made an enquiry to take a Chelsea striker on loan – but it isn’t Romelu Lukaku – instead, they are trying to bring Demba Ba to The Hawthorns and this could be a deal that goes through as Mourinho doesn’t seem to rate the striker too highly.

Also, Paris Saint Germain like the look of David Luiz and Roberto Martinez wants to work with Victor Moses again and bring him to Everton.

Elsewhere, Arsene Wenger is preparing to smash all kinds of transfer records and bring Gonzalo Higuain, Marouane Fellaini and Mathieu Valbuena during the summer.

If he were to sign these three players, then the Gunners would surely become title contenders as the trio have shown they can be world class on their day.

Manchester United are keen on Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio and seem to be confident they can sign the player, but a lot of David Moyes’ attention is going to be on bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.

This is simply a story that won’t go away and there is no smoke without fire, so there could be some big news coming from the Premier League champions soon as they seem to be interested in their former number seven.

Manchester City have been busy in the transfer market already and they are another club looking to sell a few players on at the moment so it can allow for more new faces to come in.

Right now, the Citizens are searching for buyers for Gareth Barry, Joleon Lescott, Aleksandr Kolarov, Scott Sinclair and perhaps most notably, Carlos Tevez.

Finally, Liverpool look like doing business fairly soon and securing the services of Luis Alberto of Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mingolet.
