Juventus have taken a march over Liverpool in their quest to sign Uruguay international Gaston Ramirez with the Serie A side having already made an offer that his current club, Bologna, are mulling over.
Juventus are about to lose current playmaker Milos Krasic who’s agent claims will be leaving the Turin side this January and the side have pinpointed Ramirez as a long term successor.
Liverpool are keen to bring in an attacking midfielder as well as a striker and with Ramirez being Uruguayan, many believe his arrival would only benefit his countryman Luis Suarez.
With an offer on the table from Juventus, Liverpool will need to work quickly if they are to have any chance of bringing the attack minded 21 year old to Anfield and whilst nothing has been agreed to between the clubs thus far, a move to a larger club within Serie A may be more tempting that a move to England.
