We aren’t far away from the Premier League getting underway and on Tuesday, there are plenty of pre-season friendlies taking place as teams make their final preparations for the new season.

Manchester United are on their travels to Sweden as they meet AIK at the Friends Arena in what should be a good workout for the Champions of England.

The Swedish side have won their last four games and are half-way through their domestic campaign, so will be fit and ready for action here. For that reason, some might see AIK as decent value as they are being offered at 13/2.

However, United know that if at their best, they are sure to take this clash, especially as they have a strong squad for this clash.

There is no place for Wayne Rooney in the squad as speculation continues over his future, but Robin van Persie is sure to be in action and David Moyes will hope that his star man can find the net a few times on Tuesday evening.

The Red Devils were 5-2 winners in their last pre-season friendly, so they have found some form and although this is going to be a tough test, you would expect them to take the spoils. The bookies think Moyes’ men will take this one as well as they are being offered at 4/11.

Although this might be the biggest friendly, there is plenty of action elsewhere and West Bromwich Albion make the journey to Cork City.

The Baggies started last season extremely well and they know how important momentum can be, so will be looking to come out on top here. A win for West Brom is being offered at 2/11 to take this one and they shouldn’t have any problems against the Irish side.

Norwich City are testing themselves during pre-season and they entertain Real Sociedad on Tuesday evening in what might be a close game. The hosts are at 13/10 and Sociedad can be backed at 8/5, so the bookies are struggling to separate these two.

Chris Hughton knows how important these matches are right now as he has added plenty of players during the summer and needs the likes of Gary Hooper and Ricky van Wolfswinkel to gel with the side.

Elsewhere, Rangers and Newcastle United lock horns in a game that the latter are the 8/13 favourites with.

Many Newcastle fans are anxious about the new season, so a few wins between now and the start of the campaign is what Alan Pardew will be after.

West Ham United travel to Braga on Tuesday as well and there is also an all-Italian affair between Juventus and Inter Milan. This has the makings of being a cracking game, but it isn’t a surprise to see Juve as the 7/10 favourites as they have dominated Serie A over the last couple of years.

Europe’s big leagues are getting underway soon and Tuesday looks to be a great warm-up for the action. Manchester United’s game is the first to get underway at 6.30pm.
