Juventus track Chelsea FC duo

Alex is one of Chelsea's main players that Juventus are looking to bring on boardItalian club Juventus are reportedly tracking Chelsea pair Alex and Florent Malouda. Chelsea are now ready to sell players following the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and the impending arrival of Valencia playmaker Juan Mata. Centre back Alex has already revealed that he is interested in a move to Juve whilst winger Florent Malouda is set to want out of Stamford Bridge as competition for a regular place in the starting line-up is beginning to grow however the player insists he is keen to stay at the club.

Brazilian international Alex has fallen down the pecking order at the Blues following the arrival of David Luiz in January. He signed for Chelsea in 2004 but was loaned to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven for three consecutive seasons before eventually joining the squad in 2007. Since then he has dropped in and out of the squad but has enjoyed good spells in recent campaigns since the departure of Ricardo Carvalho. French international Florent Malouda has become a favourite with the press since his arrival in 2007 due to his outspoken point of views. Similar to Alex, he has also dropped in and out of the Chelsea line up following inconsistent performances but has recently become popular with the fans following his most impressive season yet last year, scoring 13 goals in 38 appearances.

The deal for Alex is looking more promising than a deal for Malouda as Andres Villas-Boas has revealed John Terry and David Luiz as his preferred choice of centre backs. Also the funds received for the defender would go towards a possible deal for Bolton centre back Gary Cahill, whom Chelsea have been linked with over the summer. Chelsea are considering accepting the move for Malouda as they are eager to finalise a deal for their main transfer target Luka Modric, however they have revealed they would only consider bids at the right price.
