Keeper pleased with Manchester United progress

Anders Lindegaard is enjoying his experiences on Manchester United’s pre-season tour of the US, and hopes that he has impressed Sir Alex Ferguson enough to gain first-team consideration.

The Danish international kept a clean sheet in United 7-0 demolition of Seattle Sounders earlier in the week, and continued this fine form in his first-half experience of the 4-0 win over MLS Allstars.

Lindegaard spoke to MUTV, stating: “I’ve enjoyed every second of the tour and my time on the field so far. It was important to win and important to get a clean sheet. I was a little bit busier than I wanted to be but it’s my job, so that’s OK.”

Lindegaard has claimed his intention to challenge for the No.1 jersey at Old Trafford. However, the 27 year-old will have been discouraged by the £17m arrival of David de Gea in late June.
