Liverpool FC manager Kenny Dalglish could not hide his delight on Monday evening after seeing his side yet again find the net on more than three occasions when they defeated Fulham away 5-2.
Since taking over Liverpool have enjoyed a run of 33 points taking them to within reach of a Europa League spot where prior to Dlaglish taking over the reigns, many had suggested a bottom ten finish.
“It’s been unbelievable. Nobody would ever have anticipated the run the boys have been on since January, even if we don’t get fifth place, they’ve been absolutely fantastic.”
The result away to Fulham certainly shows how much Liverpool have improved since the takeover and subsequent addition of Dalglish as manager with the result on Monday evening showing what the Anfield side can be capable of.
“I think the boys got just reward for some fantastic football and scored five goals, it certainly makes you proud when you see them play like that.”
This is a long shot but it has to be reported that Liverpool still have a chance at Champions League qualification should Manchester City earn less than three points in their remaining fixtures. What a story that would be!
