New Cardiff City signing, Kenny Miller, is delighted with the start to the Championship season that saw his new side beat West Ham 1-0 at Upton Park on Sunday.
The Bluebirds were subject to a lot of pressure, most notably when Frederic Piquionne hitting the post.
However, the Welsh side stood firm and were rewarded when Miller struck an injury time winner in a match that was heading for a 0-0 draw, giving fellow Scot, Malky Mackay, the perfect start under his new managerial reign.
Miller commented: “As a forward you want to score goals and when you come to a new club it’s always important to get off the mark early, and there’s no better place to do it than away at Upton Park.”
The former Rangers hitman added: “A point would have been a good result for us so to nick it at the end was a dream start.”
