Defender Kolo Toure is set to attend a Manchester City disciplinary hearing regarding his failed drug test.
It was revealed that week that City had already opened a disciplinary case against the Ivory Coast international, of which Toure is contesting against.
The former Arsenal centre-back was already handed a six-month suspension by the Football Association, which he has served, due to him testing positive for a banned substance in February this year.
However Toure is yet to face discipline action from his club because of terms of the ban and subsequent difficulties in arranging a suitable date.
The 30-year-old insisted that he took of his wife’s slimming pills unintentionally, in which contained a banned ingredient, with the ban causing him to lose his place in City’s first-team.
Since then, boss Roberto Mancini has took a firm liking to partnership Vincent Kompany and Jolean Lescott, resulting in Toure’s opportunities being restricted to just one substitute appearance in the league this season.
Although the Italian admitted he will still consider Toure for selection pending the outcome of the club’s investigation.
