League-leaders Barcelona make the journey to Real Zaragoza in a battle between two sides needing the points for very different reasons.

Barca are currently 13 points clear of Real Madrid in second, so they could be just a few wins away from securing the title, whereas Zaragoza are only a point clear of safety after a shocking run of 13 games without a win.

Not many will be expecting the home side to take anything from this one either as Barcelona are on a high after making it through to the semi-finals of the Champions League during the week.

Lionel Messi might be on the bench again as he was far from fully-fit in the match against Paris Saint-Germain, but Tito Vilanova will be confident his men have enough here and they are at 5/11 to come out on top.

Real Madrid are in action immediately after Barcelona and they need a win at Athletic Bilbao to make sure they stay clear in second place and keep a little bit of pressure on their El Clasico rivals.

Jose Mourinho’s men also booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League during the week and once again, Cristiano Ronaldo found the net.

He is sure to be the key man yet again in this one and with Bilbao not having a great deal to play for, you would say Real should ease to victory here. An away win is at 8/15 and although they should win this one, they know that Bilbao are capable of coming out on top and the hosts look decent value at 6/1.

Atletico Madrid are in action at 4pm when they entertain Granada and with this game being before Real’s, the home team can move level on points with their city rivals.

Atletico have drawn their last two matches in La Liga, but they will be pleased with their campaign and as they are 13 points clear of fifth place, so it looks to be all but certain that they are heading into Europe’s elite club competition next season.

As for Granada, they are just two points clear of the drop zone and don’t come the capital in any sort of form as they haven’t won in seven La Liga encounters.

The final game to look at on Sunday sees Rayo Vallecano host Real Sociedad and the latter will be after a win here as they could be in fifth place by the time this one gets underway.

Sociedad have been in superb form over recent weeks and they look to be a good bet here 15/8 to take the spoils.

Vallecano have a small hope of Europa League football next season, so they will be after a win to keep that ambition alive.

All eyes are likely to be on Barcelona’s and Real Madrid’s matches on Sunday and it should be a superb day in La Liga.
