Bradford City entertain Burton Albion in the first encounter to look at and after their Capital One Cup run this campaign, the former know what it takes to win these big matches.

In the league, Bradford finished in seventh position, seven points behind Burton, but they are the 20/19 favourites to win this first leg.

Valley Parade is sure to be rocking in this encounter, much like it was in the matches against Aston Villa and Arsenal in the Capital One Cup and when the pressure is on, the Bantams seem to produce their best performances.

Phil Parkinson’s men played Burton in the league last month and took the game 1-0, so a repeat score-line is what the manager will be after.

After his superb performances this campaign, James Hanson could be good value to break the deadlock this evening as he is being offered at 6/1.

As for Burton, they have to bounce back from the disappointment of missing out on automatic promotion, especially as they take on a Bradford side sure to be on a high.

Over the course of the season, the away side showed they were a better team than their opponents and backing them to win this one at 16/5 might prove to be a decent bet.

Gary Rowett will be concerned about his team’s away form though as they have won on the road for four matches now. Twelve goals have also been conceded in those encounters, so Burton have to tighten up at the back to give themselves a chance of a trip to Wembley.

They have only lost three times on home soil this campaign, so if Rowett’s team can remain in the tie after this first leg, they will fancy their chances of reaching the final.

Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town also lock horns and with just two points separating these two in the league this campaign, it is going to be a tough game to call.

Both took seven points from their last three encounters in League Two as well, so they also come into this one in similar spirits.

Cheltenham are at 5/2 to win here and after they did the double over Northampton this term, they will be confident of coming out on top.

One man who could be key for the home side is Ade Akinfenwa as he has 16 goals in the league this season and is the 5/1 favourite to score first.

Both Northampton and Cheltenham will be pleased with their season and there doesn’t look to be much to choose between them, so this is set to be a cracker, especially as their meeting in the league at Sixfields ended in a 3-2 win for the visitors.

Both matches get underway at 7.45pm and with how the stakes high, there could be a few nerves and plenty of goals tonight.
