Lee Clark front-runner for Leicester vacancy

Reports have suggested that Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has emerged as the favourite to become Leicester City manager; following the sacking of Sven Goran Erikkson.
The League one tactician has become a well-respected manager as he led Huddersfield to an impressive 40-match unbeaten run, however he has previously stated his loyalty to the club.

Despite this, it now looks likely that the attraction of Championship football has overcame his loyalty, whilst Leicester also have the strongest transfer kitty outside of the top flight, which could also tempt him with a move away from the Galpharm Stadium.

Leicester parted company with world-known Swedish manager Sven Goran Eriksson earlier this week, and since then have been linked with a high amount of managers, but it seems that Clark will succeed the former England manager.

Erikkson was only with the Foxes for 13 games and brought in a host of big names to the club this summer, but due to a poor start to the new campaign including only two wins so far in the League this campaign, the club decided to sack the Swede.

Championship rivals MK Dons’ boss Karl Robinson has been speculated as an alternative to Clark, should he reject their offer.
