Leicester see £3m bid for Everton striker rejected

Leicester City’s £3m bid for Jermaine Beckford has been rejected, according to BBC Radio Leicester.

Leicester were hoping to continue their summer spending spree by adding the former Leeds United star, to his ranks, but it’s reported the forward is happy at Goodison Park.

The 27 year-old is contracted with the Toffees for another three years after signing from Leeds last summer, and scored 10 goals in his debut Premier League campaign.

Foxes boss, Sven Goran Eriksson, has already missed out on Robbie Keane and Shane Long who moved to LA Galaxy and West Brom, respectively, and is understood to be preparing a second bid for the Everton hitman.
