Former Reading striker, David Mooney, has signed for Leyton Orient on a two-year contract.
The forward failed to make an appearance for the Royals, but had loan spells at Colchester, Charlton and Norwich, before he was released by Reading earlier this summer.
The 26 year-old turned out for Shamrock Rovers and Cork City before his move to the Madejski in 2008. However, he failed to impress like compatriots Shane Long, Kevin Doyle or Noel and Stephen Hunt have done, and so decided to move on.
Mooney netted 14 times in 44 appearances for Colchester last season on an extended loan deal.
