On Friday evening, one game gets underway and it sees Toulouse and Bastia lock horns. Toulouse are struggling for form right now and have won just once in five matches, which has seen them slip down to eighth, whereas Bastia have moved up to twelfth after accumulating four points from two encounters.
Saturday afternoon sees Paris Saint Germain in action at home to Evian and Carlo Ancelotti’s men simply have to win this one. PSG have been in shocking form and have moved down to fourth, which is not good enough. Although Evian are struggling near the foot of the table, they will come to the capital quietly confident of a result.
Moving onto Saturday evening, Nancy are at home to Valenciennes and Troyes host Nice. The two home sides really need the points as they are both eight points adrift of safety.
Rennes and Brest also meet this weekend and the former have won four out of their last five, which has sky rocketed them into seventh. With how tight Ligue 1 is, they could move into the top four with another win here.
Lille are now without a win in three and they travel to Sochaux, who currently sit in the bottom three, whilst Montpellier and Ajaccio also go head-to-head.
Reims has now not won in seven Ligue 1 matches and they are at home to Bordeaux on Sunday afternoon. The away side know they can move into the top three with a victory.
Marseille will then be looking for all three points when they take on Lorient and know that they can pile the pressure on league-leaders Lyon with a win.
Lyon themselves are involved in the final game of the weekend and it is one of the pick of the ties as Saint-Etienne, who sit in third place and are unbeaten in ten league games. This certainly has the potential to be a scintillating 90 minutes of action and it should be a fitting way to round of the weekend in Ligue 1.
