Lille ready to make offer for Chelsea winger
French Ligue 1 side Lille are ready to make an offer for Chelsea winger Gael Kakuta as they prepare for life without Eden Hazard.
The 20 year old is ready to depart the French club for either a move to the Premiership or Spain next summer and Lille, after losing Gervinho to Arsenal, want to add the Chelsea youngster to their ranks as soon as possible with an offer pencilled in for the beginning of January.
Kakuta may share the same age as Hazard however he has not fulfilled the sort of potential many believed he was capable of when first arriving at Chelsea in 2009 and two loan periods, to Fulham and Bolton, has not seen the youngster progress as planned. The Chelsea winger is due to return to the club on January 1st and it is doubtful that Chelsea will allow the youngster to remain as part of the deal that sees Gary Cahill head to London.
With Kakuta set to return, Andre Villas Boas is ready to listen to offers for the youngster with only Lille and Dijon having made enquiries of any note. His performances for Bolton and Fulham will not have helped his valuation and although a move away in January is not guaranteed, Chelsea will not expect more than £5m for the 20 year old.
