Reports from Germany are suggesting that both Liverpool and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Eintracht Frankfurt center-back Marco Russ.
The 25 year old has played for the Bundesliga side since 1996 where he played for the youth team and was offered a professional contract in 2004. Since then he has picked up 147 appearances scoring 13 goals in the process.
Germany have always been renowned for providing quality centre backs and whilst Russ has not yet made the senior team it is possible that an international cap may be just around the corner.
Although sources have indicated that there is unlikely to be a bid this summer, it is believed that Arsenal and Liverpool feel he could be one for the future. Despite Frankfurt lying perilously close to relegation, Russ has helped the side to the sixth best defensive record in the league conceding 41 goals.
