The apparent target of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, Ashley Young has hinted in some way of another that a move may be on the cards after suggesting that he wants to win trophies.
The 25 year old international currently plays for Aston Villa but has been heavily linked with a move away to one of the top Premiership clubs with Arsenal or Liverpool rumoured to be the likeliest destination.
His comments suggest that he wants silverware and the sort of silverware he is after will not be achieved at Aston Villa for some time.
“I’m an ambitious person who wants to win titles and leagues and cups and stuff, hopefully, fingers crossed, I can do that. I think they say players start to peak at 26 or 27.”
The Aston Villa winger added.
“I’ll soon be 26, so fingers crossed I can start peaking myself. I’ve been enjoying how things have been going for me.”
With Ashley Young keen on titles “and stuff” there will only be a few teams who can offer him a chance at that and even though Arsenal and Liverpool have struggled for silverware over the last five or so years it seems imperative that a big move could be on the horizon.
