Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has heaped valid praise on his Argentinian colleague Maxi Rodríguez after seeing his team mate net yet another hat-trick against Fulham on Monday night – his second in successive weeks.
Many had suggested that Rodriguez would be on his way out this summer however an impressive few weeks has seem the 30 year old hitting the headlines on numerous occasions with Kuyt obviously delighted for him.
“It was an unbelievable night again for Maxi (against Fulham),before the Birmingham game he hadn’t played for a while so to come in and score two hat-tricks in successive weeks is fantastic. He is in really good form for us in front of goal.”
The Liverpool forward added.
“Whenever Maxi wasn’t playing, he was training well and still working hard and he was waiting for the moment when the manager needed him. The way he has responded to the manager’s faith in him has been superb. Maxi is a great player and we are all delighted for him.”
