Liverpool FC are closing in on a deal for FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz with Director of Football Damien Comolli hoping to tie up a deal by the end of the transfer window.
Discussions for the 26 have been ongoing for some time over a possible move that could cost the Anfield side £12m however the side are awaiting confirmation that current playmaker Joe Cole will join either Queens Park Rangers or Tottenham Hotspur before adding the final touches on the deal.
Ruiz has scored 36 league goals for Twente in 61 appearances since joining them in 2009 and whilst primarily a winger, the Costa Rican is able to play as a forward too, signalling Kenny Dalglish’s intent to add another striker before the transfer window closes in five days time.
