Liverpool FC manager Kenny Dalglish has admitted he has happy with the amount of options he now has at his disposal where selecting the team is concerned.
For numerous seasons Liverpool were perhaps renowned for only having Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres as the two players whom the Anfield side could not do without however Dalglish, who is yet to sign a contract extension under new owners FSV believes he can at this moment make numerous choices regarding selection.
“The more options you have, the better it is for everyone. I don’t know what it was before, in any team you are going to have players who shine more than others.”
Dalglish continued.
“Successful teams are the ones with the greatest number of options going forward. It is great credit to them and the confidence and belief they have in themselves. They have built that up themselves with their results.”
It is obvious for all to see how much of an impact both Dalglish and the current crop of Liverpool youngsters have had on the Merseyside team and the former striker believes this gives him much more ammunition.
“Where you get your ammunition from doesn’t really matter, but the more choices you have, the stronger you are going to be.”
Liverpool continue their quest for a Europa League spot against Fulham FC on Monday evening knowing that a victory will take them above 5th placed Tottenham Hotspur.
