Liverpool FC may look to another England international
Liverpool FC are considering an approach for England international and Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermaine Defoe after it emerged that the North London side would consider serious offers for the 28 year old.
Spur boss Harry Redknapp is still looking to raise some cash to make some big signings this summer and is believed to be looking for around £10m for Defoe who has been capped close to 50 times for his country.
Meanwhile Liverpool are still keen to add a striker and are unsure whether Higuain will be made available by Real Madrid or whether the Argentine will be prepared to join a side without European competition. It is believed that Liverpool will be prepared to give Defoe a chance at Anfield and will seek another top quality striker if they make the Champions League next season.
