Liverpool FC target Jose Enrique has offered no clues to a possible move during the summer providing the old chestnut “we’ll see what happens”.
The Newcastle United left back has been linked with a move to Liverpool since January and some excellent performances by the 25 year old Spaniard has meant other clubs also looking closely to the defender. Liverpool are still looking to acquire a left back after Paul Konchesky was not up to scratch for the Reds meaning Glen Johnson has to cover – albeit very well – in that position.
However talking to the local newspaper Enrique was did not give too much away.
“It is always nice to hear that (Being linked with Liverpool), but we will see what happens. The most important thing is the team. I know the fans like me a lot, but we will see.”
Reports suggest that Dalglish will need to produce at least £9m for the rated left back for Newcastle United to even consider selling him.
