Liverpool in for Real Madrid ace

Liverpool are tracking Real Madrid star Esteban Granero, according to his agent.

Since the arrival of manager Jose Mourinho, Granero has played very few games, resulting in the player becoming extremely frustrated.

Despite this, Mourinho was reported to be eager for Granero to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, even though he has only played the 24-year-old three times in the league this season.

However, the player’s agent claims that he is likely to move on this month, with Liverpool reportedly one of the keen admirers.
“He’s finding his chances limited at Real. He’s keen for a move away – possibly to Liverpool,” Teo Lazaro is quoted as saying by The International Business Times.

“If he can’t play at Madrid then he’ll play somewhere else. It’s as simple as that.”

Lazaro also revealed that Arsenal did not contact him regarding the Spaniard, even though they were strongly linked.

Granero originally left Madrid for Getafe in 2007, but after an impressive two year spell at the club, Real took advantage of the buy-back option they were welcome to.
