Liverpool keen on Chelsea wing target

Following up on Chelsea’s interest in the wideman, Liverpool are ready to make an offer of their own for out-of-favour Juventus winger, Milos Krasic.

The Serbian international has fallen down the pecking order at the Serie A side and is being offered around Europe as Juventus try to find a possible suitor for his signature.

Krasic has made only eight appearances this season across all competitions and is understood to be available for around £7m.

The 27 year-old impressed greatly during his time at CSKA Moscow and signed for the Italian giants in the summer of 2010 for a fee of £13m.

Before his switch to the Turin outfit, Krasic was being heavily monitored by Manchester United who were, at the time, in the market for a winger.

However, their need for wide players now seems to have been satiated by the summer acquisition of Ashley Young, leaving Liverpool with the chance of poaching his signature.

The Anfield club have been linked with numerous wingers over recent weeks including Eden Hazard, Adam Johnson and Aaron Lennon.

Given this supposed interest, it could be safe to say that the Merseysiders would consider the cut-price deal for Krasic even though they signed Stewart Downing over the summer.

Supporters of Andy Carroll complain that the reason for the striker’s flailing form is down to inferior aerial service and supporters will be hoping Krasic’ purchase may help that issue.

With Luis Suarez currently suspended for eight games, Kenny Dalglish will need to find a way to unlock Carroll’s potential, and a better source of ammunition to his forward may be just the key.
