Brendan Rodgers is desperate to add a proven goalscorer in his squad during the January transfer window and is a big fan of the Ivory Coast international
Since joining Swansea City from Netherlands back in the summer of 2013, Wilfried Bony has proven himself to be one of the deadliest finishers in the English Premier League. And under the managerial acumen of Gary Monk, the powerful Ivorian has started the current English Premier League campaign on a strong foot, scoring consistently for the Welsh giants.
And it appears that Bony is exactly the type of striker Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants to replace what has been a misfiring group of strikers in his squad.
The likes of Mario Balotelli, Fabio Borini and Rickie Lambert have been miserly in front of goal to say the least and Rodgers has apparently lost his patience with the trio and could be looking to part ways with all three of them in a bid to bring in a striker who will be able to score goals from the word go.
However, The Reds will have to pay quite a lot of money in order to convince the Swans into letting go of their prized asset with a fee of 25 million pounds quoted in media.
