Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish, is apparently keen on a move for Wolves’ Republic of Ireland international, Kevin Doyle.
Damien Comolli, the Reds’ sporting director, is understood to have been interested in the striker during his time at Tottenham, and a £10m price-tag could prove tempting.
The Scot has already flexed his financial muscle during this transfer window, but Dalglish is still expected to be looking for a forward, as he seeks backup for Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.
David Ngog has been associated with a move away from Anfield, with Sunderland and Everton both associated with the Frenchman.
Doyle scored the opening goal in Wolves’ 2-0 win over Fulham on Sunday, and has contributed largely to the Wanderers’ 100% start to the season.
