Liverpool manager admires Number One’s distribution
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has heaped praise on current Number One Pepe Reina. The Merseyside goalkeeper has had an indifferent season for the reds having had to play for two separate managers as well as having to deal with speculation regarding his future.
However Dalglish is not only certain Reina will remain a Liverpool player but is extremely happy with the way the keeper plays.
“His distribution is fantastic for us. He sees things, he’s sharp. He made the second goal against Birmingham last week and he’s done it again.”
Dalglish added.
“It’s important that he can pass the ball for us. If the opposition close up he can hit it long and if they back off he can knock it short.”
Since Dalglish’s return Liverpool have managed to climb right back in contention for a Europa League spot where prior to his arrival many had believed Liverpool may not have managed the top ten.
