Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish, is ready to make his move for Birmingham defender, Scott Dann, after the Reds’ had a lacklustre pre-season in defence.
The Merseyside outfit leaked in 15 goals in six pre-season friendlies, a record he will need to improve if Liverpool are to challenge for a European spot.
Glen Johnson and Martin Skrtel were recently injured in pre-season and it’s thought that Dann would cost around £8m.
Born in Liverpool, the centre-back may favour a move to Liverpool as he looks to return to the top flight of English football.
Dalglish was expected to sign the 24 year-old earlier this summer, however the Scot decided to focus more on his midfield, signing Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing.
