Liverpool stalwart believes hitman can become Kop legend

Liverpool defender and fan favourite, Jamie Carragher, believes the team’s star striker, Luis Suarez, can one day become a legend at Anfield.

The defender has been delighted with the Uruguayan’s performances since his January arrival at the club, stating: “For me, to say you’ve started well you have to have performed well over the first 10, 20 or 30 games for your new club. One game – good or bad – doesn’t mean anything,” when speaking to LFC TV.

The forward was thrown straight into the action seven months ago, and hasn’t had a real summer break after a victorious Copa America tournament, and being elected August’s Standard Chartered Player of the Month.

Carragher added: “Luis has already shown how good he is by playing well in lots of games. I think he’s already done enough to prove that he’s a top player. Hopefully he’ll be here for a very long, long time.”
