Liverpool stopper lauds summer turnaround

Liverpool defender, Daniel Agger, is happy with the morale boost that the club has received in recent months, praising manager Kenny Dalglish and his coaching staff.

The Danish international says that the belief in the team is ‘miles apart’ from last season, after a draft of summer signings.

The Merseysiders were unbeaten until they played to a 1-0 defeat against Stoke City last weekend, but that hasn’t dented the confidence of the centre-back.

The 26 year-old stated: “If you look at the squad now, it looks really, really strong with so many good players, so I think it is good for us to have the belief to go forward and win games.”

Speaking on the Reds’ upcoming fixture, Agger added: “There are not many easy games in the Premier League anymore, and Tottenham are definitely a tough one away. But I think we have a good team now and we’re ready to compete.”
