Liverpool told to make bid for Petr Cech

As the goalkeeping crisis at Anfield shows no signs of stopping, Brendan Rodgers is looking to launch a bid for Chelsea shot-stopper Petr Cech.

Reports claim that the highly decorated Chelsea goalkeeper’s agent has encouraged Liverpool to make a bid for his agent who is keen on seeking a fresh challenge in the twilight of his playing career.

The former Czech international was The Blues number one for many years but since the arrival of ThibautCourtois, has spent more time on the bench as Jose Mourinho seeks to build a new Chelsea team.

And although Cech fully understands the new circumstances at Stamford Bridge, the former StadeRennais number 1 is also keen on continuing his playing career and will have no qualms in leaving Chelsea for a club where he can be guaranteed sufficient playing time.

And the player’s agent, Viktor Kolar has urged Liverpool to make an offer that his client’s club cannot refuse.

Moreover, the agent says that since Cech’s contract expires next summer, Chelsea might be willing to do business in January as the board would not like to see the player leave the club on a free transfer by the end of the current campaign.
