Liverpool FC are currently torn between two new centre-backs this summer and will look to make a decision by the end of the week with regards to which they will try and bring into Anfield.
Gary Cahill is a defender that many teams have been monitoring however Liverpool currently look to have the edge with reports over a deal that could include striker David N’Gog heading to the Reebok. There is belief however that Liverpool still feel Bolton Wanderers’ asking price is a little too high and have therefore got 25 year old Uruguayan center-back Diego Godin in their sights.
The Atletico Madrid defender could be available for a few million less than Cahill with the Merseyside club still in a position to keep N’Gog. Liverpool are at this moment working on an agreement that could see one of Cahill or Godin make a move to Anfield within the fortnight.
