Wilfried Bony is determined to show Liverpool what they are missing when he lines up for Swansea City at Anfield tonight.
However, the Reds weren’t impressed and he ended up signing for Sparta Prague and then Vitesse Arnhem before arriving at Swansea in 2013.
The 26-year-old has proved a big hit for the Swans as his tally of 20 league goals in this calendar year is unrivalled in the top flight and he wants to sign off 2014 on a high.
“Liverpool will always be a difficult game because they are Liverpool.I scored there twice last season and it was nice because I had been on trial there when I was younger. I was there for two weeks in 2007 when Rafa Benitez was the manager” said Bony
He shared his memories and said it was amazing as a young guy to get the chance to use facilities like that and to see a stadium like that.
On his couple of goals at Anfield he added that it is always nice to score at places where you have been and you were not able to make it. It’s not that he has a particular point to prove.
Bony wants to increase his goal tally before heading away on international duty.
