Valencia are ready to pounce on the uncertainty at Old Trafford with a £14m bid for Dimitar Berbatov. Despite being the clubs top goal scorer this season there are question marks over the Bulgarians future after it emerged that Sir Alex Ferguson’s favoured front two would be Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez.
PSG are also rumoured to be interested in Berbatov but they will now face a challenge from the Spanish giants as they look to improve on third place behind Real Madrid and Barcelona this coming season.
For Manchester United, the temptation to allow Berbatov to leave could be quite strong as they seek younger blood for Ferguson’s next generation of United players. The Old Trafford side have already made enquiries into the availability of Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and should a move materialise, Berbatov could well be on his way to either France or Spain.
