Louis van Gaal thankful to Sir Alex Ferguson

The Manchester United boss is very grateful to the club’s legendary former manager for believing in him and says that this gesture has made his job easier

Although he arrived at Old Trafford with a reputation of getting the best out of all types of players, Louis van Gaal knows that things have not been easier for him given injuries to so many key players throughout the first part of the current campaign.

However, despite all those issues, the Dutchman has guided the club to third place in the league standings which is something that has not gone unnoticed in the eyes of Sir Alex who during an interview, described Van Gaal as a great coach who will do well for the club.

And while talking to reporters, Van Gaal stated that he is glad to know that the legendary Scotsman appreciates and values his work at Manchester United and says that this makes things easier for him.

“He has belief and I’m happy with that,” said Van Gaal, 63. “Then you can work in an easier way.”

The Red Devils have suffered more than 40 injuries in the five months since Van Gaal took charge but that has not derailed the club by any means.
