Luciano Becchio to miss start of Championship season
Leeds United striker, Luciano Becchio, will be kept out of the start of the Championship season because of surgery he must undergo on his hamstring, Simon Grayson has confirmed.
The Leeds manager told the club’s official website that the Argentine has now undergone the minor operation but will miss the start of the coming campaign.
Grayson stated: “Luciano has had the operation and he will miss the start of the season.”
Becchio finished out last season on the sidelines and it was hoped that the 27 year-old would be back for Leeds’ season opener against Southampton on August 6.
