Man City Bolton Odds : Mancini looking for another three points at Etihad

Manchester City will have the chance to continue their flawless home record this season when Bolton are the visitors to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, as predictably bookmakers make the Premiership leaders 1/7 shots to win at home.

Under Roberto Mancini the Citizens have yet to lose this season at home, nor did they taste defeat at the Etihad Stadium in 2011, and next up to try and break that remarkable run is Owen Coyle’s struggling Bolton side.

City remain two points clear of Manchester United at the top of the table as they go in persuit of their first ever Premier League title, and a comfortable 3-0 win over Blackburn last time round will have done nothing to dampen the belief that they can stave off their rivals challenge and claim a historic title win.

Since their shock 1-0 defeat against Everton at Goodison Park last month Mancini’s men have gone into overdrive, winning their last 6 games, including a two-leg Europa League tie with Porto. They have also only conceded one goal in this positive run.

While all appears to be going well for them at the moment, the return of Carlos Tevez from his five month exile and his impending return to the first team may rock the boat somewhat.

The Argentinian hasn’t played for the club since September following his refusal to play in the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich, but he featured in a reserve fixture this week and could be back in first-team plans before long.

City have no injury worries going into the game and Mario Balotelli returned from suspension for the game against Blackburn so he should feature again.

Bolton meanwhile have lost their last three games and sit level on points with bottom-placed club Wigan, but the Trotters should at least be buoyed by the return of some key players from injury.

Mark and Kevin Davies are in line for a return this weekend from injury, while Joe Riley and Mikel Alonso could also feature.

This may not be the type of game Bolton will be expecting to get anything from, but they must fight for everything at the moment.

City are of course the favourites for this one, but there have been some shocks in the Premier League this season, so who knows what could happen.
