Manchester City are 1/9 favorites in the eyes of Paddy Power as they look to get vengeance against Cardiff for their league defeat at the start of the season.

Manchester City have been unstoppable at home all season long and this will serve them well as they look to get even with Cardiff following the shock loss in Wales back in August.

City are firmly in the title picture this season and Manuel Pellegrini’s side find themselves in second place just one point behind leaders Arsenal going into the weekend’s fixtures.

The good news for Pellegrini is that he welcomes back several of his top stars to the starting line-up with Sergio Aguero, Yaya Toure and David Siva all fit again after having fitness concerns earlier in the week.

The only two main injury worries for City at the moment are Stevan Jovetic and Jack Rodwell but both players are set to end their spells on the sidelines within the next few days.

City’s electric form at The Etihad as seen them score 38 goals during the first half of the season smashing the previous record by 10 goals.

For Cardiff, the season has started to drag with some internal problems affecting the Welsh side’s form leaving them on the edge of relegation zone in 18th spot just one point from safety.

New Cardiff boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be without two players for the trip north with Andrew Taylor out with an ankle injury whilst midfielder Jordon Mutch is also struggling with some muscle issues.

There could also be room for new signings Magnus Eikrem and Mats Daehli to make their debuts with Solskjaer hoping that the Scandinavian inks can hep unearth some surprise stars in the Premier League.

By making the trip to The Etihad, it will mark the first time Cardiff have played Manchester City at home since 1985 when the two sides met in a 2-2 draw at Maine Road.

Despite Cardiff’s big upset back in August, it seems that the Welsh side will be unlikely to do this for a second time as Manchester City look to keep the pressure on their rivals in the race for the league title.
