Manchester City boss insists rebel striker must be patient

Manchester City manager, Roberto Mancini, has told out-of-favour striker, Mario Balotelli, that he must endure the squad rotation amongst the club’s forwards.

The Italian boss says he is ‘very lucky’ to have a selection of four world class frontmen at his diposal and as a result, Balotelli must adapt.

Both Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko have been in fine scoring form so far this season, and Carlos Tevez will always pose a threat to the starting line-up, despite his personal frailties.

With an even heavier schedule this season, Mancini is delighted with his squad, stating: “I count myself very lucky to rely on four strikers, especially in a situation where the team needs to play every three days. I can have a good turnover of the strikers.”

He went on to add: “For now Mario will have to adapt to the situation, he will not be playing for the next few matches.”

The 21 year-old has been involved in more than one controversial scene since his arrival in the Premier League, and reports suggest Balotelli could be seeking a move away from the Etihad Stadium.
