Manchester City creative midfielder, David Silva, says he is unhappy with the treatment he has seen under Vicente del Bosque, and insists he deserves more responsibility in the Spain setup.
Silva has been in fantastic form on a club level and says that he feels like a ‘secondary actor’ on an international scale as he is continually overlooked by the Spain manager.
Speaking to AS, the playmaker said: “I think that I am only a secondary actor, the coach does not have confidence in me. With other coaches never have I noticed this sensation. I think my performance is positive but not sufficient for the coach.”
The 25 year-old has high hopes for his future though, adding: “I want to work very hard to maintain my level and start in the next Euro 2012 qualifier although that depends on the coach.”
